7 Is Yahweh pleased with (A)thousands of rams,
With ten thousand rivers of oil?
Shall I give my (B)firstborn for my transgression,
The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
8 He has (C)told you, O man, what is good;
And (D)what does Yahweh require of you
But to (E)do justice, to (F)love lovingkindness,
And to walk [a](G)humbly with your God?

9 The voice of Yahweh will call to the city—
And it is sound wisdom to fear Your name:
“Hear, O tribe. Who even has appointed [b]its time?
